Somebody poisoned the water...
someone came last night
and took my soul
and caught
my breath on fire
while i stood watching
from the window outside
the light from the darkness
stepped into the nightmare
on elm street, it
doesn't compare
because it didn't have
even have the fright so
i reached around the corner
to see what was there
and i saw the beast,
walking down the stairs...

waiting, for this dream to end
been waiting for the freak show
to be over again
calling, out my name again
you don't believe me
you don't understand

somebody posed as a martyr...
someone came last night
and cursed your life and then
it was due time while
i sat watching
from the clouds in the sky and
obscurity of spirits were
brought into the nightmare
that
i had last night but
i wasn't even there, i
stepped out of my mind so
i looked
back to the stairway,
to see who was there and
i saw the stream of blood,
dripping down the stairs...

waiting, to take breath again
been waiting for these nightmares
to wash away again
falling, out of place again
there will be so many
things left unexplained
waiting, for this dream to end
been waiting for the ocean
to drift my body again
calling, out my name again
i know that there is someone
who wants to do it again
popping, all the pills again
i wish that you could only
see it again
falling, out of place again
there will be so many
things left unexplained

this is what i do when i'm not playing dink. i write poetry/lyrics/music. this poem is called "Delirious". i've written hundreds of others, but this is probably my favorite one, and i just wanted to share it. maybe someone will be inspired by this...maybe this song will become a dmod . if anyone has any poetry or lyrics they've written that they'd like to share, here would be a nice place to do it
