DN is more laidback (APART FROM THE STAFF AND TWO MEMBERS) and friendlier
very easy to navagate.

The only thing that really bug me if you wanted to make an account you needed a email and you could not automatically use it.

So yeah the DN is tererific.

I think the DN is better than Facebook because, well, it's not Facebook. I also prefer apples to oranges and chalk to cheese...

Same here. I really hate when someone links to a Facebook page as if were part of the real internet. Like "Oh here is a screenshot of what I'm talking about. Please respond ASAP." It recalls the bad old days of AOL keywords.

I like Facebook pretty well, but I agree about the links. It's hard to know if the page will be accessible to people who don't have an account or even people who do but aren't friends with the right Facebook user.

How could one compare a social network to a forum dedicated to a game?

Facebook is created in mind for social media. Id est, it's made specifically for people to share whatever they want about their life. Name, Age, Sex, Location, Sexuality, what the duck ever.

This forum, while fun, is centered around a lesser-known game that was rushed at the very end due to time constraints. This forum itself has its ups and downs dependent on what kind of troll is lurking. Asshats was one that brought down the quality of the site a little. Another example was Skorn (Absolution) who trolled for a while, was banned, then got another account and wavered between good and bad. I'm not going to point out the worst offender to date because everyone knows who it is.

But, yeah. The internet mirrors real life, except for the GIFT theory of the internet. So, comparing a slowly dying site that is kept alive only by posts in the forum and mods made for the game to a vibrant social media site that caters pretty much to anything and everything you can imagine and you're going to have a pretty bad argument. I mean, I've seen better sites, I can name a few that the only troubles are trolls and it doesn't matter what your sexuality or your religion is because everyone accepts the other for who they are.
You'd be surprised what this magical place of peace is, and it is relevant to a certain announcement I made a while back.

I think it is a fair comparison between TDN and Facebook, only because this site is only half about the game anymore. The other half is a social network Of course it doesn't include all the features or millions of users like Facebook does, which is why I'm here and not there.
