I tend to listen to relaxing music while doing heavy scripting, and a variety of different MIDIs while bug testing to see if there is one that I like more than the current one (or, if I'm sure of my decision, just the current MIDI). So, do you guys listen to music while developing? If so, what type of music do you listen to?

Yes, definitely. Different types of music, but classical works best. (Classical works best for me in any case )

Yep, sometimes. Although I tend to stop always after a while because it doesn't really work when testing what I've accomplished, with all the in-game music and sounds.

I have a few playlists on YouTube which I tend to listen to. One with Blind Guardian songs and one with just random songs by everyone.

I can't listen to music while scripting advanced stuff, that requires my full attention, but I listen to music while mapping.
And then I listen to what I'm normally listening too.

Basically what IPD sayed. What I listen on varies a lot. If I'm making some sort of dark themed stuff, I tend to listen to more metal. I like listening to Two Steps From Hell also, like this tune .

I always have music on while working on my d-mod. Ranges from soundtracks to movies/games/anime to any kind of music I can find on Youtube really. Sometimes I find people's playlists that I load up, or "Best 10 country/trance/pop" whatever songs. And I like the Glee soundtracks too.

Yes. Back when I just had dialup, it was mostly midis since those were the only things that would download in a timely manner. Later, it would be just about anything while mapping, and only trance or instrumental music when coding or writing as anything else was too distracting.

Not because I hate music, but i have yet to find some music that is satisfying enough. I'd like the heaviest metallist music i cant explain it

I just open pandora radio and listen to cage the elephant radio rucka rucka Ali radio flobots radio or led zeppelin radio since every ones being specific .

I don't listen to anything while I'm D-Modding. Because I don't D-Mod. But if I did, it would be anything instrumental. The specifics would depend on my mood. A lot of the time I listen to trance when I'm programming. I might listen to some vocal music if it's anime/J-pop, because I don't know Japanese, so the vocals are like another instrument to me. But other than that, lyrics are too distracting, unless it's Enya, since I'm so used to the songs.

Also, DinkDoodler, how about dubstep? It's like an electronic version of heavy metal.

Whenever I wanna get in the mood for some moddin' I turn up the MIDI's from the original game.
