Why dont we limit the bananas?

Say a member can create only two banana topics per week.

IMO, that would reduce the spam.

But some of the best threads ever have been banana threads!

2 threads per person per week would mean more quality in banana threads.

Nah... There's a lot of good stuff there as well, even if Off-Topic is sometimes mistaken for Any-Crap-Goes. Maybe we should have a specific turd-forum for the stupid and pointless posts.

But that would beg the question why we have such a forum in the first place.

Less banana means less spam, means less space for people like me, means more people focusing on D-Mods means more files being completed means more files being released means more forum activity.

Just lock the whole goddang network. It's not like it's going anywhere but under the surface.
