troubles with scripting likely due to windows 7
well as the topic sys i'm having some troubles with scripting in windows 7.
The problem is if try to save a script inthe installation folder of the mod(in my case made the folder myself) windows 7 refuses to let me safe it there though i'm the owner of my comp and the only one who uses it at all.
everything else for modding i can do without the long way around of doing so(editing maps copying music files renaming the files) but scripting i have to safe in a different map and then copy so though still can do scripting testing to see if i didn't make a typo in counters and or command takes way longer then it should.
It really sucks because this way instead of taking a few weeks it could take twice as long to finish the contest entry(and slow down the slow on progress mods i'm doing even more)

I remember having a similar problem with Vista, but I fixed it somehow. Problem is, I can't remember how. All information I can give you is that it is possible to fix it. Guess you just have to keep trying. 
right click on the file -> "open/run as administrator".
fraid I can't it doesn't pop up for .c files.
well could try the exe of the editor but with another editor that didn't help(not for Dink but was a text editor for my fictions but that one i won't use for scripting(if you'd want to read some the link to some of my fics is in my profile))

Disable UAC and make sure the folder and/or any associated files aren't write-protected.
Yes, I would also do what Quiztis said. Sure, you're losing a little bit of built in security, but it's worth getting rid of that shootty user rights system. I suggest you just google "Disabling Windows 7 UAC" and follow the steps.

It is coming but until i find either a way to rest the timer or a free screen recorder i kinda have the isseu of expired trial time well since my windows 7 i could try the new trial with reinstalling(But it'll have to wait till after the contest as that takes my time now.) but it'll come(and after will s what i'll LP then as though a few parts enjoyed making them and well hope to become no 4 of the dink smallwood PT crew but that is up to the crrent crew if they'd want to make me one)
