I want to make sure that I don't get anything mixed up if I travel to places with non-American cultures. My current worry is Canada.

I'm afraid that I have to say something about hockey in every sentence or hockey rivals will unite to attack me. And I'm unsure about my current guess of what to order at the bar . . .

I need to plant one or two simulacra in the Canadian intelligence sectors and media sectors to ensure my safety. A person that just seems to come out of nowhere with perfect qualifications is suspicious enough without customs being off.

That would still be a personal goal of mine to walk into a Canadian bar and say "One maple syrup on the rocks."

EvilEarl, don't worry about looking like an ass-hole by just saying 'can I have some pancakes with syrup?', you'll look like an even bigger one by trying to act like a Canadian. I know from experience.
I did go to Canada when I was younger, and I just acted like I always do and I was just fine.

I can't believe you have any concerns whatsoever about culture differences between Canada and the U.S.

Your head would probably implode if you ever considered going to Asia, Africa or eastern Europe.

The only culture shock you may encounter is how laid back and polite people are in general compared to the US. Just don't be a dick and they won't care.
