the problem is when i click play the loading screen comes for half a second and then the screen goes blank if i press ctrl or click i hear the click sound but nothing hapens

This is the only D-Mod with that problem? Dunno, try deleting the folder first and then reinstalling it instead of just overwriting.
sparrow man thats the secound time you saved my life(to see the first time check the smilie wars thing(trust me just do it))
this time insted of over writing the file after i uninstaled it i created a #ed duplicate and used that duplicate to install the game
and it worked

I'm having the same problem, I'll try doing what Sparrowhawk said to do.
Actually, I have had the same problem with many DMODs. Furball goes white and there are no buttons, and CAST1:INIT does, like you said.
