I tried once (I think, can't really remember) but couldn't get it to work either.
Was that helpful?

The guy with the cute D-Mod. 
Does the DinkC reference have anything about it? I find it's good practice to check that out before anything else when you have problems regarding specific commands.

Let me heat that up for you... 
All the reference says is that you can load new bitmaps into a tile index (1-41) and that the Din engine looks in the "tiles" directory of your DMOD before looking in the dink tiles directory.

The only example it provides is using this to convert all grass to snow.
