I'm atemting to make a D-mod with an edited splash screen but the colours mess up

HAHAHAHAHAHA, ok, *cough* you have to apply the dink palette to the splash image.

You shouldn't have that icon...it's too much like mine

Open the image, then go to Format menu, then Data Type/Indexed 256 color". Choose a bitmap that contains the dink palette, or if the image already has 256 colors, then go to Format/Color Table. In the window that appears click over "Load" and choose the bitmap.

Dead Dink is from the Back from the Grave demo, which is excellence, IMO.
