I still think desktops pwn all!!, but I bought a laptop yesterday. So I can make D-Mods elsewhere than only in my home and such (in case you didn't already figure that out on your own).

It cost 599€

Sweet. I'm buying the laptop I've used at college these three years. It's gonna be weird having administrator access for once. You should also specify the specifications instead of just posting the ammount they charged for that overpriced laptop.

Absolutely agreeing with Glenn.
What's the specs? RAM, Graphics, Processor, Soundcard..?
I'd expect them to be good at that price.

Well, I didn't wanna reveal it, but I'm not really an expert with all these RAM, processor and all that stuff. Heck, I barely know what GB it has.

and you had to make a Topic about it?

Well, just trying to keep the forum alive. And as Pillbug said, did YOU have to make a topic about HOW AIR FEELS?

Do remember that posting crap isn't exactly going to keep the forum alive, it'll keep it going but just not in the way most people want to. (That's why I try to keep quiet most of the time, I usually don't have anything sensible to say unless it's about creating D-Mods.)

Well, if this is crap, then almost everything on the forum nowadays is crap.

Sparrowhawk asked what kind of a bike he should buy, and it certainly isn't any better topic than this, so it's crap. Krisknox asked that does anyone feel air, certainly not better topic than mine, so it's crap. Somebody asked what's your favourite type of gun, that topic is not better than this, so it's crap...

I can continue this list forever. So now I quess all the topics on TDN are crap.

I'm not trying to say that this particular topic is crap, I just want to point out that it's probably best not to use the reason "keeping the forum alive" for posting any random subject that comes to mind. How could this be crap if we're having a nice conversation here anyway

I guess posting anything is still better than posting nothing in most cases though, especially since off topic posts tend to go even further off topic.

I don't think he meant it was crap as in no good, I think he was referring to crap as a conglomeration of of threads, like some people say 'Whats all this junk?', when the 'junk' could actually be an Orb Of Wisdom that grants the owner power beyond his belief.

At risk of sounding like an ogre, I'm getting pretty fed up with some of the way you guys treat Skull. It's the same people over and over and to be quite frank, it's pathetic.

I particularly like the way someone makes a subtle dig at him for buying an "overpriced" laptop. How do you know it's not good value? His laptop could have enough power to blow up New York. He didn't post the specs, you say? Why should he? Not everyone gets a kick by bragging about their rig. Maybe they aren't important to him.

Skull was happy enough about getting his new computer to share it with the community. Good for him.

Play nice.

Okay people. Anyone and I mean ANYONE who has any problems with me, say it now. Do not hold back, but say it now. What should I change in myself and what am I doing wrong. Say it now so I know what I do wrong, because I don't want to take this s h i t in every topic I make.

Yes, so anyone who has problems with me, tell me, WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST ME!?!?

No wait, I don't. I'm completely with Sabre on this one.

Now to be fair and open:
When you joined The Dinknetwork back in early '07 I didn't really rate you very highly due to your affair with double accounts and some really primitive DMODs. Though I did (and still do) appreciate the effort you put into it.

But really, over the years you've really grown. The DMODs you make nowadays are good quality, in fact you're one of the most valuable DMOD makers in recent years. And I like your presence on the board as well.

So, if you didn't already guess from my own posts: I have nothing against you, keep up the good work.

Thanks, Metatarasal.

But I wonder why everyone remembers I came early 2007. In fact, to make it clear, I joined (made an account) at the end of 2005, and started reviewing and found out about the forum in the mid 2006.

I personally have no problems with you or anyone on this forum, let me say that right and clear now. Even though sometimes I've taken a jab at Krisknox and Godley (quite often, actually) at least 98% of anything I say is not meant as offence.

My first post in this thread asking about the specs was simple curiosity about the computer. Price wise, if you try to translate what it cost you in your location to another currency, the price could easilly drop or jump up with ease.
In fact the only thing I know about New Zealand currency reguarding it versus the world is that the U.S.A $ is worth approx $2 in NZ for the most part, and that I only know for my Aunt living in the US.
I think the Australian $ isn't that much higher than the Kiwi $ either, but I have no idea.

Overall, I was curious as to the specs and wether the price was worth the computer, though not just for the specs. The usefulness of a portable compared to a desktop is always a good thing, reguardless that laptops aren't used so much for the gaming aspect as the work aspect.
Hopefully you'll be capable of making D-mods a lot easier with a portable computer at least

Nice I guess. But I aswell prefer desktop PCs, I hope to get a new one in a few weeks, as it's about 6 years old and it ducked up few days ago. Now I'm stuck on the laptop I got like 1 year ago. <_<'
