I first thought this could be something good. JVeenhof said it actually has a significant story and this was supposed to be an improved version. Let's just say I don't regret not having played the "unimproved" version. Map decoration is virtually non-existant. Almost all the houses have hardness errors, there is nothing to do aside from the main quest (but that's not a bad thing in a romp) and the entire d-mod is just too easy. I wonder why the enemies even give you experience, since you'll never be able to get a level up with 5 exp per enemy and starting on level 6.

The story's about a man who reports to Dink that he's built a basement but his brother disappeared in it. You end up in a cave with a lantern and that's actually the only cool part, including the end boss, which has some cool gameplay. There are only a few music tracks and the problem with the music is that it changes too much. Therefore, you never really get the chance to listen to a complete song. Anyway, I expected much more from this and I can't say I was satisfied with what I saw. I hope that JVeenhof will consider thinking about other things than the main quest in the future. He might actually turn out a fun Romp to play.
