This D-mod is one of the three entries in the Dink Network Alternative Hero D-mod Contest 2002. The others are Lyna’s Story by Paul Pliska and Quest for the Golden Nut by James Perley.
Storyline: This might be one of the hardest to understand D-mod. You do not know what is going on, untill you are almost at the end of the game. Then you begin to understand what the plot is about. It is very well worked out and it reminds me of a movie with flashbacks. I played it once more, just because I wanted to understand everything that was going on.
Map and Graphics:. The changing of seasons is very well done. I was quite amazed when I saw it at first.
Music:.The music that plays at the fairies scene is outstanding. The other midi’s are fair.
Good: The storyline and plot are great.
Not so good: The map is a too big for the story; the game only needs a couple of screens since there is nothing else to do or to find besides the main quest. I do not like autosave, I prefer savebots or pressing escape.
Overall: A D-mod that features a new kind of story and plot and could set the pace.
Fit for: If you prefer a game that has a great story and plot, but almost no fighting.
