A special thanks to everyone who read the stories, and thank you to the authors (including me) for providing such good reads, and a colossal thanks to Absolution for organizing this contest.
bDink's Deluded Christmas - Pillbug/b
An excellent story, filled with lots of observations even from the start, like Dink searching for his armband as soon as he gets up. Pillbug is an excellent writer. This story was without a doubt one of the best fan fictions I've read. However, the song at the end made it seem un-bookish, because it used ichorus/i like in Internet-speak instead of something like iThen chorused/i. Pillbug should definitely write more Dink Smallwood fan fictions.
b9.8/10 -- Received First Place/b
bThe Turkey of Christmas Past - DinkDoodler/b
When reviewing one's own material, one must strive to be truthful. Therefore, I must say that while it was not quite what I expected, it was still great. Or at least good. A short parody peppered with jokes. Maybe it's too short and there were some mistakes (ducks have webbed feet, not claws), but this will give you a laugh.
b8.7/10 -- Received Second Place/b
bDink in a Dang Dinked Up Christmas (MrGantoe) and A Dinky Xmas (Merder)/b
I chose to review these together because they are equally good, pretty similar and got the same place. There were grammatical and punctuational errors, but because English is a second language for both authors and the stories have a good plot, it's easy to forgive them. Both authors are very skilled, and I'd like to see more of their work. You heard me -- MORE!
b8.9/10 (both) -- Received Third Place/b
