An Introduction to DMOD Making
This contains most of the fundamentals that a beginner dmod developer needs to know about.
It starts from introduction notes which tackles about the recommendation for downloading WDE, (WinDinkEdit), or DE (DinkEdit)
It also introduces beginners to the very vital skills that a dmod programmer needs.
Mapping, Sprite placement, and properties, Tile hardness editing, and Basic scripting and knowledge with DinkC.
The section in the tutorial that discusses about mapping and sprites is provided with sufficient and well-detailed information regarding on how to interact with the user interface of WinDinkEdit to create maps by selecting and placing tiles, editing hardness, redefining properties of a screen, redefining properties of a sprite, explaining the purpose and function of each property of sprites such as warp functions, basewalks, depth ques, touch sequence, sequences and frames, etc.
Last but not the least, the scripting chapter. This proves that the author knows a lot about DinkC.
Visions, Local and Global variables, Procedures, and further most complicated things associated to DinkC are successfully expounded into its most comprehensible form.
It also includes the basic scripting techniques such as conversation, choices, sprite-specific properties, and much
more.
My conclusions and opinions.
Honestly, this is the best tutorial file I've downloaded.
But I give it a 9.5 due to the following reasons:
1) I didn't find any new and advanced scripting techniques.
2) It is really an introduction, I didn't find how to add custom graphics.
Overall
Best for beginners.

This guide explains in detail how to use WinDinkEdit, write scripts, edit sprite properties in the editor and in scripts, create sprites, create cutscenes, and many other tasks the aspiring Dmod maker would like to know about. The next time some 11 year old comes onto the forums asking someone to make a Dmod for them, they can be directed to this file, and it will most likely make 'em shut up.
It does not cover topics such as item making, and some skills such as music/sound, and adding of graphics are largely ignored except in the FAQ, which I personally believe should have its own section.
Of course, lots of these tasks have been covered in other files (Rudiments of Scripting etc.), and these are made reference to throughout, and links are provided incase the reader wants to have a greater understanding of such a topic. After listing the useful table of text colours however, it then says that the user can make their own colours, but gives no explanation as to how.
Some Pros:
-It has screenshots,
-Nice bookmarks list to jump to sections,
-Links on the internets to helpful files,
-In depth explanations for several topics (basewalk, depth que etc)
Some Cons:
-No instructions on how to make your own weapons/items/magic
-"Aesthetically" is spelled wrong on page 9
-No internal links to pages and sections (non-clickable TOC)
Overall, an excellent introduction to the various aspects of making DMODs that new people will find very useful, but at the end, they may be wanting to know more, in which case dinkc.chm/dinkcref.hlp will come in handy.

This is the tutorial I found to be the best. It is constantly updated, it has a nice layout and it's easy to find what you are looking for in this pdf. I'm a newbie at DMODing and this is of great help. It covers pretty much anything except the more advanced scripts, you'll have to find those in other tutorials. It also has a nice FAQ at the bottom of the document.
The only thing I could find that annoyed me a little bit was the “” in the scripts. If you copy them directly from the document to a DinkC Editor it'll become this symbol |. But hey, It's even more newbie to copy!
So I find this up-to-date tutorial very great. I'll give it 9.6 out of 9.9. Metatarasal has done a great job creating this convenient tutorial for beginners.

Alright, up until I used this tutorial I used rudiments of scripting. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tutorial, but after I used this one I never went back Rudiments.
Pros:
Sub-link table of contents (Big one)
Covers many topics
Is user-friendly (Explains things line by line)
COVERS MAPPING
Cons:
Well, there was a big error in v.102, but meta fixed that. So, I don't really have anything to say here.

This is the best tutorial i have ever readen after Rudiments of Scripting. Here is the results:
Features: This is a PDF tutorial that explains the basics and more complex stuff about coding.
Features like:
~ How to make a sign
~ How to make a conversation
~ How to make Dink move in a positions
~ Tile/Hardness editing
~ Advanced story creation
~ Big convos
I was firstly thought that this tutorial wont have anything special, but i was surprised.
Explaining: It explains very good everything of what it has, but i got a bit comfuzed in the &story etc. So i give a 9,4 at the explaining.
Useful/useless: I really cant find anything useless at this file so i give a 9.9 at "Usefulity"
Overall: 9,7!
Worths viewing.
