Call to Greatness
This D-mod really isn't much, as you progress through it you can see the mapping getting a little better but not by much. There's lots of hardness errors and some sprites don't have hardness at all when they should (e.g. wells, houses, trees, stumps). Some of the effects aren't bad. I'm not sure why tree sprites were used for the forest rather than tiles and it made my computer go really slow for some screens.
There wasn't a lot of obvious plot: Dink starts off in his house and gets told by his janitor to go meet someone and he finds a ghost village with loads of hard boncas. #5.5#
The story teller was very funny and the humor did help this D-mod. #8.4#
I liked the music a lot, even though there was only a few different midis, they fitted perfectly. #9.3#
The mapping let it down a bit: it wasn't badly or overly decorated but there wasn't many places to go and if you wanted to you go to the end without visiting anywhere. #6.5#
The fighting WAS a bit too hard and there was no real way to level up, and until you get the sword the pillbugs are a little bit too hard and the boncas are really annoying.#7.0#
Getting all that gold and potions seemed pretty pointless and I'm not sure why you didn't get to kill the end boss unless I missed something but I couldn't be bothered going through the whole map and burning down every BLOODY TREE.
Overall: Not a bad D-mod but I didn't really like it much. #6.5#

This is one of the more bizarre dmods around. I'm sure there's a profound insight into the meaning of life in there somewhere, I just can't quite put my finger on it...
Scripting-wise the dmod is an affront to nature. It's short, the mapping is bad, fighting is annoying, and the music is subpar.
The dmod makes up its technical shoottiness by being funny as hell, and its unique storyline. Not a serious or refined game, but it's entertaining.

Well, Hezzu and Lunacre, being the fantastic comedians as they are threw all there humour into this game: Call to Greatness.

STORY
---
The story is simple, well. Wait. Story? Well, there isn't much to say. You just play Dink and you go on a quest to defeat the Mighty bas-tardo (censorship reasons), from what I can gather. Yes. Not much story. Lot's of swearing though!!
7/10

Graphics

Nothing new here at all.
8/10

Gameplay
---
Well, the gameplay is solid with a simple plot to play through and lots of secret potions and gold to find. Burn down craploads of trees to find hidden potions, and piles of gold pieces. At lv. 1, you can get as much as 20-30 attack, defense, and magic, just by collecting potions! So, with the short story and dissapointing ending, all the secrets make up for it, and will provide at least 1 hour extra of gameplay just for looking for these!
10/10
Overall, I give this DMOD an 8.5; it's has a crazy story and quirky storyteller that dies ever two seconds and lots of secrets to uncover!
