As usual, we here at the Dink Network made sure to delay the announcement of the DOTM results to a ridiculous time in order to fit in with tradition. Amazingly, we're now ready to announce the results of the September 2005 DOTM, and Erwin's D-Mod The Treasure Battles has gone for the gold and won. Congratulations for your win, Erwin! Yourwinerwin! In addition, the October 2005 Download of the Month voting has begun, and you can head right over here to do that. You may choose between rioty stuff from joshriot, Carrie2004's controversial murder simulator, zellfaze2's Land of Transforming Ducks, and finally, gamehampe's arse. |

metatarasal has released The Scourger, a follow-up to Quest for the Gems, his previous D-Mod. I'm not sure what the plot is about, but I hope it doesn't involve a bunch of tiny insect bat things flying at you out of nowhere and blowing you to bits. |

Ric has released version 1.3 of his BlendTut file, which does not inform you how to puree ancient Egyptian mummies. This version of the Blender tutorial "includes more coloring and texturing help, and accounts for the default camera settings in the newer versions of Blender." Update: Ric sent in a quick update to BlendTut, bumping it up to v1.3a. From what I can tell, he removed a duplicate file and therefore reduced the download size substantially. (Just a guess.) |

I finally decided to get off my butt and post news regarding the October DOTM results, and while the wait to post news wasn't as great as with September's results, I'm sure my loyal fans will appreciate that I didn't keep them updated too quickly by posting the results as soon as they came in. I love all of you! The winner of October's DOTM voting is Carrie, with her D-Mod The Red Jacket Murders narrowly defeating repeated champion None. Congrats! |
