Dinker's View 7 - Tyrsis: the Russian Gem
Posted by SimonK on Thursday January 8th, at 03:59 PM
Well it's been a while since I've posted an interview, (it seems to have been a while since any new news...) so I thought I'd better extract the digit and finish off one of the interviews I started last year.

This time around we go to Mother Russia, to talk to Tyrsis..

For all the details, head to the comments section.

Awards: November Results, December Voting Starting
Posted by redink1 on Monday January 12th, at 04:39 AM
The Awards section has been treated rather like a neglected banana in a bowl of oranges... you know that someone will have to eat it, but its starting to smell sickly sweet and has these weird brown gooey spots on it.

Firstly, congratulations to SimonK, for winning the November 2003 DOTM with Dink Goes Boating! For some reason, I completely forgot to tally the November results until just now, and nobody reminded me to do so.

Secondly, the December 2003 Download of the Month is belatedly awaiting your vote of destiny. Not too many files were released last month, but you will find a few cool graphics packs, a stand-alone Dink based game, and a genuine D-Mod. Voting will end sometime around the 19th (of January... I think), so hurry up.

New D-Mod : Dink's Father 3
Posted by Kyle on Friday January 16th, at 05:40 AM
This month's first new d-mod comes from Lancemads and is entitled... You can guess. It's the third and final part of the Dink's Father Trilogy! You can get it here!

He adds that in case you find any bugs, please report them to Glenn and don't bug him with it. You can read the rest in the included reame file.

Enjoy!

Awards: December DOTM Results!
Posted by Tal on Monday January 19th, at 08:37 PM
You voted, we tallied, now here's Tally! The bipolar bear would like to congratulate Bruce Harrison, that pimptacious fiend, for winning the award with the Cemetery Graphics Pack. Y'know, this reminds me of the time I was riding my bike in a cemetery.. I wrecked my bike and ripped a hole through my jeans, causing my knee to bleed profusely. So Josh, Another Josh, and I went across the street, got sodas, and went back to Another Josh's place to watch Blade. Much blood was shed onscreen as my knee bled along. Both the wound and the movie were disappointing, but amusing nevertheless. Aaaanyway, congrats to Bruce and all others who entered!

The next day, Dinkers gaze in amazement as Tal steals magicman's spotlight by linking to the results page. A Holley is seen at the scene screaming, "Where is my pie?!"

Dinker's View Eight: The Dmod Pioneer

Time for another break from DMOD authoring... well, if I was busy authoring, which I'm not really... but I hope all those weird authors are busy out there!

For your reading pleasure... head to the comments section to get a new view on the very first Dmod Author to publish his work. Way back when the Dink Engine was at version 1.02... in the last millennium... 1998.

Recondite Twenty-Four: Exhaustion
Posted by redink1 on Saturday January 31st, at 08:08 PM
Forgive me readers, for I have sinned. It has been ninety-eight days since my last Recondite, and I have turned from a man-thing of lethargy to a man-thing of industry in that time, and several new, great things are in the future for Dink and the Dink Network that I haven't really had much time to tell anyone.

To read more inane babble from the mouth of a man-thing, read the comments.
