Old-timers and newcomers alike will be as upset as I am to find that Dukie, a well-established Dinker whose roots can be traced to the very beginning of our humble site and community, passed away June 25. He was 29 years old. I have not translated the many messages on his Facebook profile or the posts from his blog, but I can at the very least confirm that he had been battling cancer. His contributions to the Dink world include The Dink Smallwood Solutions and Dink Smallwood in the Valley of the Talking Trees, not to mention his "eternally-in-progress" D-Mod The Dink Hotel.
I am unsure what else to contribute - though I must note that he will of course be missed dearly - so I present to you material excerpted from remembrance cards distributed at his funeral:
Ik bin dankbaar voor alles.
Ik hou van het leven en van jullie allemaal.
Ik wil dat je gelukkig bent, zoals ik ben.
Ik wil dat je knuffelt, zoals ik doe.
Ik wil dat je van jezelf houdt, want je bent perfect.
