You might be interested to know that the part of the brain that coordinates the hands is relatively massive compared to the areas that coordinate other regions.
This is what we would look like if our body parts were proportional to how much of our brain is dedicated to controlling them:

It's actually a much more difficult task for the brain to coordinate and make fine motor movements, such as in XCM, then most people probably realise. Along with logic, language and planning, fine movements of the hand is one of the higher brain functions uniquely (or mostly uniquely) our big brains afford us humans
