Reply to Dink in GNU/Linux distros
If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I recently discussed with Seth and Dan, and presented the progress with FreeDink. I also mentioned that we could include Dink in various GNU/Linux distributions, provided the game data would be released under a free license.
Seth just agreed to release most of the game data under the zlib license! (This license is also used for NovaShell) I'm going to contact Debian and possibly Fedora about creating Dink packages (with FreeDink, the game data, and DFArc3). I expect this will bring new interests on the Dink scene
The only cons: most of the sounds/music in Dink were not made by RTsoft, and could not be released freely as well. So currently the game will be distributed with few sound files, but I'm much interested in finding replacements for them under free licenses (such as Creative Commons BY-SA, Art Libre, etc.)
EDIT: fix grammar
