I can't say I've noticed the site being any slower recently than normal. Just last week or so it was buzzing because of that thread you started listing all D-Mods in production, and that in itself proves the site is still alive because there are quite a few D-Mods in that list - some of them looking very good 
News, file approval, and poll updates have been moaned about ever since I came here (wow, is it that long??) and I imagine before then as well so that's nothing new. Anyway the staff isn't new, it's the same as it was but with one missing so it's bound to be a little slower. Time for Sabre to wake up I think
As for reviews, I believe there used to be some kind of ranking system based on posting and review writing? Maybe if that was brought back in some form more would be written because as of now the only incentive is boredom
