So, my console has arrived at the service centre. After phoning customer services to try and push for a quick return and to make a complaint about the LIES they sent to me via e-mail, I feel like a right miserable git.
Then again, I was told I'd get 3 months or so of free Live (Was hoping for more than that...), so it's not all bad. The guy I was chatting to (Jim) was pretty helpful actually... though he did try to smooth things over by blaming "miscommunication" rather than admitting Microsoft were being a bunch of incompetent pricks.
He also said he'd "pass a note along" to try and get my console fixed quicker. Yeah, right.
