So, if you occasionally check out my website you'd know that I'm looking to write reviews on Doctor Who episodes (check out the poll). I want to know what you people think of this review that I whipped up. Is it good? Here it is:
Smith And Jones
Russel T. Davies
This episode is a wonderful season opener to the third series. Everyone's upset about the disappearance of Rose (Billie Piper), but Martha (Freema Agyeman) makes up for the loss of the Doctor's old companion perfectly. Russel T Davies wrote this episode, just like he writes every episode. Perfectly. It's full of action that'll keep you on the edge of your seat and witty humour that will keep you laughing for hours!
The story begins with Martha receiving calls from each of her family members. From this we can tell that Leo is soon to turn 21, and that Dad's new girlfriend, Analise, is hated by Martha's Mother. After meeting the Doctor, the hospital gets sent to the moon, by the Judoon. Not long after, the Judoon land on the moon and charge into the hospital. They analyze each person, as they are looking for a shape shifter, who murdered their princess. Martha finds the shape shifter, Florence Finnegan, checked into the hospital. Her 'boys' chase them all through the hospital. The Doctor blasts the slab (leather thing) with massive radiation. The Judoon captain catalougues the Doctor and registers him as 'Non-Human'. He finds Finnegan, and after acting witty and stupid, she drinks his blood! The Judoon Chief catalougues Finnegan, and as she sets off the scanner, they blast her with their lasers! The Judoon escape the moon, as Martha revives the Doctor. He disables the scanner, and fortunately, the Judoon reverse the effect, and send the hospital back down to Earth. After many happy reunions, and an 'unfortunate' ending to Leo's birthday party, Martha flies off with the Doctor, and we all wait in anticipation of episode 2!
I give this episode a rating of 8.5/10!
