You know, if you're happy with the way Windows works, you're free to stay. By all means. The reason I switched to Linux was that I was sick and tired of Windows with it's slowness, crashing, having-to-reinstall-every-sixth-month-ness, and so on. The reason I'm staying in Linux is because it's fast, responsive, never crashes on me, I don't ever need to reinstall, it has a decent command-line toolbox, it does not have a registry (*shivers*), it's close to 100% safer from viruses and hijacking, etc.
As I said, the only place I use Windows is at work because that's what my boss' company develops for. I do have Linux on a USB-stick though, which I can bring anywhere and boot wherever I go. Nice indeed.
