Really? It's one of the most interesting approaches to a tutorial that I had ever seen. If the thing would have booted up in one second it would have meant the system software was stable (which it isn't if you played till the end of the tutorial) and that it bears no risks (which it isn't either as you can die). It's just part of the story. Besides, if it's really THAT bad, you CAN skip it.
