Wow. Paolini sold has millions? I guess it's just yet another example that you don't really need any talent or skill to be successful. Eragon was so unbelievably trite that I only got through a few chapters before I found that I could take no more of his highly derivative ideas and unimaginitive prose (from the best of my recollection).
I disagree. And Eldest had some philosphical gems (in my opinion) in it that Eragon did not. the philosophy of Paolini's elves is much to my liking. Of course that comment will no doubt make you all the less interested in Paolini.
