With your mum it mightn't be hurtful... but its close to one of the previously mentioned definitions... its for the purpose of ridiculing or mocking somebody... a more biting form of teasing, if you like. Very rarely is my sarcasm contemptuous... but mocking... yes.
Either way I don't think what Simeon said qualifies. Again, facetious or possibly ironic. Not sarcastic.
