AI is a big word. Ofcourse, real AI is impossible to script in Dink, but with a haeavy-variable script with lots of semi-randomizing, a lot can be done. It won't win any price for the smartest sprites in Dink, but I guess it can still work.
Imagine this:
A creature roaming around, in all of a sudden he decides to attack his buddy (random chance). His buddy will run away in reaction. The creature than walks around again. He decides to drink, because the drink-timer is low. The drink variable is set to max again after drinking. Same with eating. Once in a while, something happens on the map. With variables, you can make the creatures react to the situation. A lot can be done, really.
I think I'll start working on it this weekend, see how far I'll get.
