Ric has released version 1.3 of his BlendTut file, which does not inform you how to puree ancient Egyptian mummies. This version of the Blender tutorial "includes more coloring and texturing help, and accounts for the default camera settings in the newer versions of Blender."
Update: Ric sent in a quick update to BlendTut, bumping it up to v1.3a. From what I can tell, he removed a duplicate file and therefore reduced the download size substantially. (Just a guess.)
