Initiation had always been a bit flakey for me in the mines, and it usually crashed while destroying rocks. I also had the fireplace issues, but it seemed to happen randomly.
Hmm, make sure that you destroy the bench before you use the water magic on the fireplace... that might cause an issue.
As for the walkthrough... hrm. I have a copy of it, and I'll send it to Dukie and ask him to put it on The Dink Solutions.
