Much has been made of smuchd over the years. At one time it was thought to have been the left over, munched lunch of a smurf. Then, the petrified remains of a unicorn excretment was noticed to have a similar consistancy and caused much excitement in the realms of fantisarcheology. Needless to say So MUCH for the golD.
It is a anti-cheat checking variable in Pilgrim's Quest which has been reported to go haywire after sailing for a few unfortunates. It's never happened to me, but then worse things happen at sea.
