If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I remember encountering the same problem... You could try messing with the compatibility settings under properties or reinstalling Dink. Or messing with your screen settings. Also try to run Dink Smallwood the game and then go to the editor again. Or try to go there by opening the dink frontend, unchecking the "run with the following dmod" box and pressing edit.
