It's a key, you've probably already used it, automatically. It neglegted to give it a script, it would have said soemthing like "Hmm, this looks like a key."

Did you by any chance cheat? You shouldn't be able to meet Milder without solving the snakes.
I'll give a clue anyway though: Take a really good look at the snakes, see if you notice anything. Okay two clues: Remember, once you have a bit mroe health you can risk experimenting with them.

I hope so, I know it's a little confusing. BTW, you also missed one knight, just have to look around more for that, in both worlds.
