66mhds and 7mb RAM
Wait wait. I missed this earlier. First of all, nobody made 66 MB hard drives. They made 60's, but no odd-numbered 66. Second of all, it is infrastructurally impossible in the technological world to have 7 MB of RAM. Can't do it. Here are the integral numbers that add up to 7: {1,6}, {3,4}. While 1 & 6 may work out, they would've been SIMM's, which must be installed in pairs. Therefore, neither combination would work. Impossible.
Another thing. Is your 486 an SX or DX? I had Windows 95 running on a 486 DX flawlessly. It took, I think, about 50 seconds to boot to login. It even came with a copy of MS-DOS 6.22. Yay.
Binirit, I remember those days. Hard disks make things MUCH easier: I had the main boot floppy get corrupted once. Shame on me.
