LOOK UPON MY DEFORMED FACE!
Never knew it worked with relative paths! Might not be too great across different drives, though i'd like to be proven wrong.

Checksums would be great for 1.08 (and maybe Aural+) as those aren't going to change any time soon, however RTDink uses the same filename "dink.exe". Seth mentions in the release notes that those exes have an RTSoft digital signature of some sort which is viewable in file properties. I'll make a bold assumption that it's possible to use some Windows API call to check for the presence of that digital signature to confirm what's what, if install paths/registry aren't enough to go by.

As for Freedink/Yeoldedink, they can probably be determined by filename or a partial match, and all my future Windows releases will have the same filename of "yeoldedink.exe".

If it were me doing the command line param categories, it would be both autodetected and user-selectable (just in case) with a drop-down box at the end of the engine list path thingo for each one, which would determine which launch parameter boxes were visible. 1.08 category would have the standard fare, and then Freedink category the addition of -7 etc. There's only 3 categories at the end of it all.
