Reply to The Dink Network - User Banned
If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
Earlier today, someone notified me that they received a hate mail message via a private message on The Dink Network.
I confirmed that the message was sent, and banned the user. They will no longer be able to login.
I will not name this user (they deserve zero attention), but I will note that have not posted publicly in a while. I attempted to send them an email to tell them that this decision was final, and to not create a new account, but the email address that they registered with is no longer valid. If they attempt to create a new account, or post anonymously, I will perform a more permanent ban.
About 20 years ago, completely unrelated to this incident, someone posted a death threat to me on this forum. It was obviously ridiculous, but I remember that it actually made me feel awful.
Everyone deserves a little tolerance and respect, and the fact that someone logged into a forum about a 23 year old computer game and was confronted with a targeted vile message is unacceptable.
