Okay, that was pretty clear. I now understand what to do to reproduce this issue. In fact I am now able to reproduce it at will. But, despite several attempts to solve the problem, I can't figure out what to do about it.

Again, since it sounds like Dink is dying anyway in this scenario, aside from the inconvenience of having to do something about the locked up game, at least you are not really loosing anything.
