@crypto:

Thanks, these are helpful, (though a few things like this have been done before as scratcher points out).

I think most of these also ended up in later versions of the editor, such as WinDinkeditPlus2.exe.

I get the impression that you might be working on Linux to develop your dmod(s). I had been using my old Windoze Vista bootable partition to develop dmods (for more than a year), just to give me a chance to use the gui based tools like WinDinkeditPlus2.exe. This tool really makes things easier.

Even better news, for about a month now I have been developing my current dmod under wine-3.0 on Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS. At first I had a few problems using the version of wine that Ubuntu made available through the "Software" tool. It turns out that I needed to get wine 3.0 from https://www.winehq.org/ and run it in 32 bit mode (using a shell script to start things up that has this line at the top[export WINEARCH=win32; export WINEPREFIX=~/.wine32]); but after that, almost everything worked normally. For more than 5 years, I have not used that Windoze partition for anything except in the last year or two when I used it for dmod development. Now, when I upgrade to Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS a few months from now, I can finally get rid of that Windoze partition!
