I also have to disagree. I am using Windows 8.1 on my laptop and both Freedink and original Dink/DFarc 2 work fine. I actually even prefer to use the earlier version because of one fact: in Freedink the game screen is limited, squared and parts of the screen to the left and to the right from it are black and unused while the DFarc2 seems to be self-adjusting to the available screen and the game runs in a true full-screen mode.
