Yeah you're right. Google in particular rarely seem to go back on things, and the forced Google+ integration was only lessened a fairly long while after it was implemented.
Overall we're going to see a situation where the entire thing will be subject to abuse. In fact I just signed up and am waiting to be approved
. We've already got situations where big players are telling their hundreds of subscribers to mass-flag videos of people they don't like, and this will just exacerbate it.
The difference with this is that this scheme may affect the hip pockets of the big players on there who essentially make money out of their videos. If this hits hard then we may see a situation where they simply give up and walk away entirely due to the slashing of ad revenue. Level-headed people aren't going to enter into a sweatshop scheme such as this meaning it will most likely consist of literal children which should work out nicely.
