SSDs aren't for storage, they're for fast access with minimal writes only which is why you're supposed to install your OS and maybe some programs onto it and then leave it.

In fact they're pretty terrible for storing things on since they tend to randomly die due to bugs in the controller which occur after waking from standby or some other stupidly common thing that everyone does.

Moving all your files onto it probably shortened its life considerably. You might be able to check with SSDLife how many years it has left.
