Try a mass/bulk renaming program and shorten those folder names. It seems like the max is 255 characters.
On the HDD vs. SSD, you should only see the SSD as a faster, more expensive HDD not made for storage. The stuff you're reading on the internet are often not true or over exaggerated. So yes, get an HDD for storage and keep the SSD for games and possibly the OS. I use CrystalDiskInfo to see if any drive is in danger.
