You shouldn't worry about SSD's losing their data. There are some thruth about it but it's not gonna happen.
Since the SSD is a speedy beast compared to the mechanical HDD, you should store your OS on it and games to eradicate loading times. Files, movies etc. should be stored on a non-SSD drive. I got a dedicated computer with a couple of 3TB HDD's for storing stuff.
