I was having a look for Dink stuff a while back when I found this archived forum thread about the composer of 11.mid from freeware Dink.
Apparently Aki, as he's known, is 42 years old now, and wanted to be musically successful but never achieved great fame from his band "The Honest Love" and works as a typical Japanese salaryman in the field of programming which means he's too tired to compose music most of the time. The Chinese also apparently stole one of his songs and passed it off as their own in 2004 which broke his spirit somewhat. The nice part is that he apparently was contacted by the poster of the thread and ended up posting there pledging to updating his old site and maybe make more music.
I can't seem to figure out if this MIDI file is actually used in the game at all, however. I can't find a reference to it in Dink.dat or in the scripts. I imagine some mods have ended up using it though.
