What you seem to be forgetting is that Seth is first and foremost a businessman, and that his primary goal is to earn a profit. He isn't a hobbyist or "gamer" like we are. If Seth got really broke or had another child and needed the funding or whatever we may be able to pool our life savings together and buy the models to the game along with the rights, but until then nothing will really change in that regard as there's no incentive for him to do anything.
