Controversy time - Bacon is super overhyped/rated and really not that special.
Unless used in other things and not just on its own. And while we're on this topic of overrated foods, Nutella is not the god of spreads. That belongs to any jelly, though I haven;t tried sex jelly.
Oh, uh, the thread's original topic. Yeah, I don't really feel like getting lost in Metroid or getting killed by Ridley quickly since it's apparently harder. The main reason is just that I don't really like that game to begin with because of the maze-like crap they pulled. I know people consider Castlevania: Symphony of the Night to be "Metroidvania", but it really isn't. There's enough landmarks and recognizable things that I know where to go to find things and I don't really get lost. And that's a game I've completed in one sitting recently. People tagged Dust: An Elysian Tail as "Metroidvania" on Steam, but it isn't. You choose the level, you complete it. It's much more linear than Metroid.
"Metroidvania" is a stupid term.
