As discussed before, the Dink chat isn't dead yet. Still it can be awfully quiet from time to time. So what do you do when you want to know for sure that there is someone to talk to? Well, you could go and talk to something in real life, but if this is somehow not your cup of tea you could get to the Dink chat at some randomly predetermined time to make sure there is someone to talk to.

I would like to propose such a random time. This random time would be May 10th 2014 from 10:00 UTC. This is around 22:00 in New Zealand, around noon in Western Europe and really early in the morning in the Eastern USA (6:00 actually). Obviously this won't suit everyone, especially if you do not like to get up at 6 am but you can't please everyone. Perhaps people in North America can join in the action later or the time can be made to be a little bit later if people down under don't mind. (Or a lot later if people in Australia can be convinced to chat on Sunday morning.)

Now if people want to join in, let your voice be heard so we can count on you. The final date and time will also be determined based on which people would like to attend, so if you can post which times could be possible for you we can see if another time might be even better. Also, if you have any ideas for things we can actually talk about we might not have such an awkward silence together...

EDIT: Oh, and if you don't want to install all kinds on odd java plugins as required by the 'chat' button on the Dinknetwork menu you can simply use webchat, you should choose #dinksmallwood as the channel.

EDIT2: If you don't know your local time in UTC, check online, for example here.
