Looking on Wikipedia, I have just discovered that the banana is the most radioactive fruit and there is actually a unit of radiation called the "Banana Equivalent Dose".

The more I learn about bananas the more I like them. I wish they sold red ones near here.

Hmm. So standing 1km away from the bomb at Hiroshima would be roughly equivalent to eating more than 4 million bananas all at once. Makes sense.
