If you don't have an account, just leave the password field blank.
I use WDE+2. It's better than DinkEdit, but it has some problems. Occasionally it messes up all my hardness tiles for some reason (this always happens if I try to run the game at the same time I'm editing it). Make backups a lot - I do it once per day I spend working on my DMOD.
