avoiding the place because not enough meaningful posts by respected people are made

This is a point. Ignoring the junk doesn't mean there are more good posts on the board. I'm not complaining about the amount, but I can see how others do. Ignoring helps to improve the ratio of good posts you see, but not the absolute amount.

So I have a question. I'm working on a dmod, as I've implied in some posts. Of course it will be awesome. I don't want to talk much about it, because I don't want to disappoint people if I don't finish it. I also don't want to spoil too much; actually almost nothing. But is that a bad idea? I like it when people talk about their dmod progress; so perhaps I should talk about mine as well?

But I recently ran into an issue, and made a post about it because I like it when people talk about these things. So I was hoping to trigger others to post similar experiences. Does anyone agree that such posts are helpful for keeping the place interesting?
